The Flamingo is one of the oldest resorts on the Strip, with a famous wildlife habitat where real flamingos, ducks and turtles live among the palms. It's central and among the cheaper big-name stays.
Highlights
- Free Wildlife Habitat with live Chilean flamingos
- Go Pool, one of the Strip's party pools
- Piff the Magic Dragon's show plays here
- Next to The LINQ Promenade and High Roller
During F1 race week
Central and close to the track; the Flamingo is a value base for race week if you don't mind an older property.
About the Center Strip
The Center Strip runs roughly from Park MGM and the Cosmopolitan north to the Venetian and Treasure Island. It's the Las Vegas of postcards — the Bellagio fountains, Caesars Palace, the Eiffel Tower, the High Roller and Sphere are all within a long walk of each other.
The Monorail runs along the east side of this stretch (Horseshoe/Paris, Flamingo/Caesars and Harrah's/LINQ stations), and free trams link Park MGM, ARIA and Bellagio.
