Las Vegas can be expensive during race week, but some of its best sights cost nothing. These are our favourites, with a few tips for each.
- Fountains of Bellagio — music-and-water shows every 15–30 minutes
- Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens — seasonal displays
- Fremont Street Experience — nightly Viva Vision light shows and live music
- Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign — the classic photo
- The wildlife habitat at the Flamingo Las Vegas
- Seven Magic Mountains — colorful art in the desert
- Downtown Container Park — fire-breathing mantis at night
- Las Vegas Arts District (18b) — galleries and murals
- Watching the Sphere light up the skyline at night
- Ethel M Chocolates & Botanical Cactus Garden — free tour and garden
Free things around the race
During race week the city fills with fan activations, team displays and car showcases, many of them free to visit at resorts along the Strip. Check local news in the days before the race — our Las Vegas news page collects the latest headlines.
Free at night
The Strip is a free light show after dark. Walk from Bellagio to The Venetian Resort to see the fountains, the Eiffel Tower and Sphere's Exosphere animations, then take a rideshare Downtown for the Viva Vision canopy on Fremont Street.
Free by day
Pick up a rental car and drive to Seven Magic Mountains or the Calico Hills at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (park fees apply), or explore the galleries and murals of the Las Vegas Arts District (18b).
