  • Zabriskie Point
  • Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes
  • Artist's Drive

About this area

Las Vegas is a gateway to some of America's great national parks. Several are possible as long day trips; others are best as an overnight extension to your race trip.

Fitting it into race week

Track sessions run in the evening, so daytime is free for sightseeing. This is a day trip — leave early and plan to be back in town by late afternoon if you have tickets for the evening sessions.

Tips

  • November is one of the best months to visit.
  • Fill up on gas and water before entering the park.
